Frequently Asked Questions

Most manufacturers recommend annual calibration for instruments used in standard environments. For mission-critical measurements or harsh field conditions, we recommend 6-month intervals. Our team can help establish an optimal calibration schedule based on your usage patterns and accuracy requirements.

Yes. Our lab is equipped to calibrate a wide range of test and measurement instruments regardless of manufacturer, including Keysight, Rohde & Schwarz, Anritsu, Fluke, and Tektronix models. Contact us with your instrument model for a specific quote.

Standard repairs take 7-10 business days from receipt. Express service is available for 3-5 business days at an additional fee. We provide a free diagnostic and cost estimate within 48 hours of receiving your instrument, and you approve before we proceed.

Yes. We maintain a pool of loaner instruments available for customers with active service agreements. For other customers, rental units are available at reduced rates during the repair period. Just let our service coordinator know when you submit your repair request.

Calibration Limitations

  • Frequency ceiling: Our in-house calibration lab covers DC to 50 GHz. Instruments requiring calibration above 50 GHz (e.g., E-band 60–90 GHz analyzers) are referred to partner labs with extended-range capability, adding 5-10 business days to turnaround.
  • Accreditation scope: ISO/IEC 17025 accreditation covers our published scope of parameters. Certain niche calibrations (e.g., modulation accuracy for proprietary waveforms) are performed as "best effort" outside the accredited scope — certificates will clearly indicate this.
  • Environmental conditions: Calibration is performed at 23 ± 2 °C and 45 ± 10% RH. If your instrument operates in extreme field conditions (-40 °C or > 55 °C), lab-calibrated accuracy may not fully represent field performance.

Repair & Support Limitations

  • End-of-life instruments: We cannot guarantee parts availability for instruments discontinued by the OEM more than 7 years ago. In these cases, we provide a diagnostic report and recommend equivalent current-production alternatives.
  • Geographic coverage: On-site calibration and same-day loaner dispatch are available in the continental U.S. and Western Europe. Other regions are served through shipping with 3-5 day transit time; on-site visits require advance scheduling of 2-4 weeks.
  • Rental inventory: Our loaner and rental pool covers common instrument categories but may not include specialized or newly released models. Availability is subject to fleet utilization — peak periods (Q4, major trade shows) may see longer wait times.
